What to Expect

Inshore Fishing

What to expect when you arrive at the boat the Captain will ice your drinks and snacks that you brought as well as stow away your personal gear. Guests do not need to bring coolers on the boat. The Captains strive to maintain a clear deck to avoid tripping hazards. We have more than enough cooler space as well as ice on the boat.

After icing down drinks you will then be given a “Safety Brief.” This brief will cover the location and use of the USCG safety equipment and flotation devices. It is important all persons on the charter pay close attention to this briefing. This is when customers should notify the Captain of any physical limitations that would hinder a quick evacuation of the vessel.

At this point the Captain will bring you to your first fishing site. This site may be located along the many wrecks, reefs, and marshes in the bay or off the coast. It is not unusual for the Captain to visit several fishing spots throughout the course of the day. Most all of these various spots are only a short distance from one another so your ride will typically be quick.

Once anchored up at your first fishing site, the Captain will give the group a quick brief. This brief will cover the operation of the reels, the techniques of baiting, and the removal of fish. At this time you will begin fishing for Redfish, Trout, and Flounder. At the end of the day once the boat is tied back up in the Harbor, your Captain will clean and bag your fish. There are several restaurants along the beach that will cook your catch for a small fee.
